Announcement

Dear Southern California TS Alliance Constituents,

We would like to share some great news with all of you. On Saturday February 18, 2006, a meeting was held to discuss the possibility of merging (read the Meeting Minutes) the TS Alliance of Los Angeles and the TS Alliance of Orange County. After having discussed this possibility, it was determined that it would make both these Community Alliances stronger if we pull our resources together as one.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the merger effective July 1, 2006. The new Community Alliance will be known as the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance of Southern California. We look forward to a prosperous year and encourage everyone to participate in upcoming events.

--April Cooper and Christy Hobart, Co-Chairs

Success Story

The Alliance of Orange County held its 4th Annual Golf Classic on a beautiful sunny day in Irvine, California at Strawberry Farms Golf Club.  For the first time, this event SOLD OUT with 144 golfers and a dinner event that included over 200 people.

The Golf Classic was another tremendous hit and raised over $180,000, which was an increase of $60,000 over last year’s event, and brings the event total raised to date up to $500,000 in four years. This extremely well organized event could not have been possible without co-chairs April Cooper and Scott Clarkson and the fantastic committee of Linda Baird, Julia Cohen, Kay Cooper, Tiffani Goff, Ron Heffron, Kent Kahlen, Cassie Kelle, Bill Kesler, Cindy & Mitch Munt, Debra Okano, Diane Sinico, Patrick Rolfes, Thuy Turner and Irma Varga, as well as the numerous other volunteers who helped out tremendously on “game day.”

Major event sponsors included Arden Realty, E*Trade Financial, Watt Commercial and WNC & Associates.  To all of our sponsors, we send a BIG THANK YOU.  We look forward to seeing you back again next year for even a bigger and better event!
